Self-aligning Ball Bearings are
bearings equipped with spherical rolling elements between the inner ring of the two raceways and the outer ring of which the raceways are spherical. It can bear a large radial load, and can also bear a certain axial load, as shown in Figure 2. The outer raceway of this type of bearing is spherical. Therefore, it has self-aligning performance.
The main features of self-aligning
ball bearings are:
(1) The raceway of the outer ring of the self-aligning ball bearing is a part of a spherical surface, and the center of curvature is on the axis of the bearing, so the bearing has the self-aligning function, which can be automatically adjusted when the shaft and the shell are deflected. Does not increase bearing burden.
(2) It can bear radial load and moderate axial load in two directions. But can not bear moment load. The contact angle of this type of bearing is small, the contact angle is almost unchanged under the axial load, the axial load capacity is small, and the radial load capacity is large, which is suitable for the situation of heavy load and impact load.
(3) The double row self-aligning ball bearing with adapter sleeve and lock nut can be installed at any position on the optical axis, and does not need to locate the shoulder.
