In cutting-edge sectors such as high-end manufacturing, aerospace, and new energy, traditional steel bearings are increasingly challenged by requirements for higher speeds, greater temperature resistance, and superior corrosion resistance. Advanced ceramic materials—most notably silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) and zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂)—are driving a material revolution in bearing technology, thanks to their unique physical and chemical properties.

Compared to steel, ceramic balls possess only 42% of the density, which drastically reduces centrifugal loads during high-speed rotation, thereby significantly increasing both the maximum rotational speed and operational stability of the bearings. Furthermore, ceramic materials offer exceptional hardness, outstanding wear resistance, and superior corrosion resistance. They maintain reliable performance even under oil-free or extreme operating conditions, effectively overcoming the inherent drawbacks of traditional metal bearings—such as susceptibility to wear, rust, and a heavy reliance on lubrication.

Crucially, ceramic bearings can operate stably in environments reaching hundreds of degrees Celsius, meeting the rigorous demands for "lightweight design and high reliability" in modern high-power motors, high-speed motorized spindles, and satellite propulsion systems. As manufacturing processes mature and costs continue to be optimized, ceramic bearings are transitioning from a "premium option" to an "essential standard component," serving as a key driver for performance breakthroughs in high-end equipment.
